What the hell is with the media blitz about Star Trek when the film doesn't premier for another six months?

Ah well, it was SUPPOSED to be released in December. So technically the film is finished. They're just holding it back til next year. This is similar to why Harry Potter was pushed back from November 2008 to July 2009. The studio that is putting that out also put out Dark Knight, which is close to earning 1 billion dollars. They didn't want to release another blockbuster in the end of the year because it would put their profits for 2008 so far into the stratosphere, that when they release movies in 2009, it will look like the studio isn't making much money and then people start selling their shares in it and blah-dee-blah-blah-blah. It's frikking greed. And it's pissing this fanboy off.
