I just needed to post in here that I am a fellow Watchmen movie supporter, I have read the comics and I can not wait for this movie to come out!

And my favorite is Nite Owl II. Dan is the kind of superhero I would be: old, overweight, but he still gets it on with Silk Spectre II.

Gotta say though, glad they cut that Black Freighter crap out. I skimmed through that crap when I read the comic.

If you haven't read it you missed a large portion of the story.

Right, they shot all of it(the actual Black Freighter will be animated) but it won't be in the movie (Bernard and Bernard might be, but the freighter wont)

BUT they will release it on DVD as soon as the movie hits theaters, AND Zach Snyder has said he plans on releasing a super long cut of the movie with both edited together, just like in the comic. It would just make the actual theatrical film much too long and it's already really long.

I wonder what the real Woodward and Bernstein think about their (minor) part in Watchmen(if they even know of it)

Oh, and Speaking of "The Black Freighter" Here's some DVD box art. And in a cool bit of news, there is going to be a faux documentary based on Hollis Mason's "Under the Hood". I'm really happy that this awesome bit of prose from the book is getting it's own adaptation.

I look forward to the dvd extras. i was in a book store and I saw a boxed and bound copy of Watchmen and was going to buy it when I saw the price and ran screaming. I loved Watchmen but not at that price ($150).

Yeah, the Absolute edition(which I think is the one you're referring too) does not come cheap.

...and you really don't want to drop it on your foot.
