I am waiting anxiously to see how they handle the whole alien thing.

I could spoil that for you if you'd like

Highlight to see spoilers wrote:There will be no interdimensional being.

(and keep in mind here, I'm doing this from memory of the reports I've read from screening.)

Rather, [The Villain, who I'll keep nameless just in case] uses a bomb that mimics Doc M's energy signal.

This unites the people of Earth against an alien threat just like in the book, but this time the threat is Doc M. on Mars.

I actually like this take on the ending, I think it hits all the right beats without being to hokey. But "The internet's" reaction has been mixed.

I like this idea. The only being on earth with super powers and near omnipotent ones at that would make the perfect Boogy man.

Exactly. Unfortunately, the "purists" are decrying this move as heresy, but whatever, it fits tonally and it actually serves the story quite well.

Did you get a chance to watch that video I posted?

I also like the Watchmen movie site. It has specific sets of pages for each major character and each one plays (somewhat) random audio clips as you click around.

They have the full (word-for-word) first entry from Rorschach's journal(about the dead dog in the alleyway and ,"I'll whisper no") and I'm telling you man, it's chilling.

I can't decide who was my favorite character from Watchman. The Comedian or Rorschach.

They're all great, I like Doc M. quite a bit as well

If you have a few extra clams on you Jim you might want to check out the "Watchmen Motion Comics" on iTunes. (or wait for the DVD which comes out March 3rd I think)

it's a slightly animated reading of the book. (similar to those old Marvel cartoons you sing the theme songs too, but maybe a little more animation...you kind of have to see it) It's all the original art from the book, and it's read in a manner similar to an audiobook (one guy doing all the voices)
